30th Dec 2021 - Key global events on the horizon that could subtly shift or substantially shake up the financial markets

1. Foreign Bond Investment (25/DEC) - Japan

The net data shows the difference between acquisition and disposition of long-term debt securities: a plus sign indicates net purchases of foreign securities by Japanese investors; a minus sign indicates net selling and inflows of funds into Japan. It excludes Bank of Japan.

2. Nationwide Housing Prices YoY (DEC) - UK

The Nationwide house price index is an indicator of trends in UK house prices. The index is calculated based on owner occupier house purchase transactions involving a mortgage. Buy to let and cash purchases are not included.

3. Inflation Rate YoY Prel (DEC) - Spain

 Spain, the most important categories in the consumer price index are food and non-alcoholic beverages (20 percent of the total weight), transport (15 percent), housing and utilities (13 percent) and hotels, cafés and restaurants (12 percent). Furnishings, household equipment and routine maintenance of the house; health; communications; alcoholic beverages and tobacco; and education account for the remaining 18 percent of total weight.
